If you’ve been following RevPit, then you’ll know by now that I was not picked by any of the participating editors as the one author/manuscript that they’ll be working with over the next few weeks. It’s a bummer, but I definitely didn’t leave empty handed.
The RevPit community is truly amazing and supportive. Not only was I able to meet several incredible editors, but I was able to meet and connect with many other amazing authors as well. Best of all, I found an incredible CP group that has already become my writing tribe. Their ongoing support, advice, and critiques are the best prize that I didn’t even know I was looking for. I could not have wished for anything better out of this experience, and I am so glad that RevPit brought us together.
Many great books were pitched in RevPit this year, and I cannot wait to see them all on book shelves everywhere someday. If you’re like me and didn’t win, don’t let it get you down! You wrote a book, took and chance, and put yourself out there. That’s huge! Keep trying and you’ll find your path, just as I am sure I will find mine.
